Parenthood: A purpose for life, for a purposeful life

Parenting is often called the toughest job in the world, and it is not hard to see why. Raising a child purposefully requires patience, dedication, and a bag full of hard work. Yet, despite all of the sacrifices and effort they put in, it often goes unnoticed. With parents being the principal anchor for any child’s growth and development, here’s exploring a thoughtful list of 6 reasons to celebrate our parents, the unsung heroes!

1. Parents put their children first

Parents constantly prioritize their children's happiness, health, and well-being above everything else. From changing diapers to late-night feedings, from helping with homework to driving to endless extracurricular activities, parents are always there to support their children.

2. They teach values and life lessons

Parents are responsible for instilling values and life lessons in their children. They teach their children right from wrong, how to be kind and respectful, and how to be responsible adults. They are the first and most influential role models in their children's lives.

3.  Parents shower unconditional love

Parents love their children unconditionally, no matter what mistakes they make or how challenging they can be. They provide a safe and supportive environment where their children can grow and thrive, knowing that they will always be loved and accepted.

4.  In times of need, we can lean on them 100%

Parents are always there for their children, no matter what. Whether their child is sick, going through a tough time at school, or just needs someone to talk to, parents are always ready to listen, provide comfort, and offer support.

5.  They make sacrifices for their children's future

Parents often make significant sacrifices to provide their children with a better future. They save money for their children's education, invest in extracurricular activities and sports teams, and put in long hours to provide for their family.

6.  Lastly, parents create memories that last a lifetime

Finally, parents are responsible for creating memories that last a lifetime. From family vacations to movie nights at home, parents create traditions and experiences that their children will carry with them into adulthood. These memories become an integral part of their children's identities, shaping who they are and how they see the world.

As we move through life, learning, building & growing, let’s remember to recognize and appreciate the arduous journey of our parents, that ultimately shaped our present, & our future.
